TikTok user raises $7,000 and drives for 12 hours to bring supplies to struggling Texans

The 2021 Texas freeze has taken the world by storm, quite literally. Chris Wieland a TikTok star decided to utilize his platform to provide aid to struggling Texans. Wieland raised $7,000 which provided families with food, hygiene products and PVC pipes.

Gov. Cuomo says N.Y. couldn’t report nursing home deaths in hospitals. But other states did.

The state of New York is under federal investigation for altering nursing home deaths amid the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Gov. Cuomo avoided counting nursing home deaths to prevent a “double count”. The New York Health Department attributed the delay to the time-consuming nature of verifying COVID-19 deaths.

Merrick Garland is in hot water after his Attorney General confirmation hearing. Sen. Tom Cotton asked Garland about his opinion on the discriminatory nature of Ivy League schools toward Asian-American students. Garland disregarded the question and did not provide a definitive answer.
